lon_bronsonFor over 20 years, Lon Bronson has been one of the most highly sought after musicians in the country functioning as musical director, producer, conductor, arranger, and technical director for production shows, performers and for large scale corporate events/award presentations. Lon’s recent corporate client roster includes Microsoft, Ford, Cannon, Chrysler, MacDonalds and Victory Motorcycles . Though based in Las Vegas, Lon consistently works throughout US and internationally from the UK to Japan. His professional credits are vast and include live production shows, concerts and television.

Lon’s efforts are considered by many to be keeping live music “alive” in Las Vegas both through the projects he has been involved in and by the sheer number of musicians he has been able to employ over the years.

Lon’s primary vehicle for bringing high energy, world-class music to Las Vegas on a weekly basis is the Lon Bronson Band. Formed in 1990, the band is enjoying an unprecedented run. Over 19 successful years, two as headliners in the Golden Nugget Showroom, the band has received tremendous notoriety for an outstanding level of musicianship. The Lon Bronson Band holds the record for the longest running band in Las Vegas history.

Last Comic Standing – Lon was Musical Director, Arranger/Orchestrator/ Conductor for the NBC 2008 finale episode, viewed by over 7 million people.

Steve Schirripa Show – Lon was Musical Director and Bandleader for this  2007 pilot on the Fox Network starring Steve Schirripa of The Sopranos.

Earth To America – Lon was nominated for a 2006 Emmy in the Musical Direction category for this star studded 2 hr TBS Network Special, which aired in November 2005.  Lon composed the theme song and was Musical Director for this critically acclaimed comedy/variety special focusing on Global Warming.  Stars included Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Dustin Hoffman and Bill Maher.

The Ron White Show – Lon was Musical Director and composed the theme song for this highly anticipated comedy/variety show. His All-Star Band was the house band for the show, which aired on the WB network spring 2005.

Viva Variety – Lon was Musical Director and Bandleader for Comedy Central’s off the wall cult TV variety hit for it’s entire 3rd television season. Lon enjoyed featured dialogue on almost every episode and retained star billing in the opening credits. Lon composed, orchestrated, and arranged music for all of the guest stars including Whoopi Goldberg, Charles Durning, Keenan Ivory Wayans, and Shelley Long.

Friar’s Club Roast of Drew Carey – Lon composed the theme song for the roast, which aired on Comedy Central for  seven seasons. Lon was Musical Director and performed with Band.

HBO’s Mr. Vegas All Night Party Starring Drew Carey – As Musical Director for the comedy/variety TV special Lon arranged, composed and coordinated all the music for his own ensemble and for the featured guest stars.  He also appears as a featured Actor in the closing sketch.

2007 – Vegas Va-Voom Spectacular – Producer/MD in partnership with HBO for their highly acclaimed annual Comedy Festival at Caesar’s Palace Coliseum.

2007 – Triumph The Insult Comic Dog (Robert Smigel), The Comedy Festival.

2004-Present – Comedy You Can’t Refuse  – Musical Director and Bandleader for this comedy/musical show starring cast members from HBO’s award winning drama, The Sopranos. Performances have included Harrah’s Las Vegas, Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel and Casino, Foxwoods Hotel and Casino,  as well as Westbury Music Fair, New York, and the House of Blues, Atlantic City.

1998 – present – The Rat Pack is Back – Musical Director and Band Leader for the Vegas production as well as companies in San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit, and Atlantic City.

2000-2001 – At The Copa, Rio Hotel, Las Vegas. As Musical Director for the show, Lon was key to its evolution by composing, arranging, leading and conducting an 18-piece orchestra. This show co-starred Sheena Easton.


2005 – Producer of the All-Star Band’s first CD, LIVE, which was recorded at the Golden Nugget, Las Vegas. The CD is in it’s third pressing and received 5 Stars from Las Vegas Weekly.
